Celebrating love and snail mail!

I love receiving cards and letters in the mail!  I also realize that the more I give (or send) the more I will receive.  So with that in mind, I decided to participate in a "snail mail swap" for Valentine's Day.

Here is one of the five cards I made and sent out for the swap.

On the front I featured one of my favorite Blue Diamond Stamps heart designs printed with Palette Hybrid Ink in black on pink textured cardstock.  I just love that little bird detail! I then used Ranger's Clear 'Emboss It' Ink pad and various colors of powder to add some shine and texture to the starburst details.

The heart theme continued inside with a big ole' pop-up heart in red with gold hand lettering. I found the paisley borders deep in my craft stash and suddenly the whole project came together.

Here are some of the cards I received.  HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!  #sendmoremail

The holidays are approaching!

Ah, late November.  Big feasts of food, lots of wine and warm beverages, and get togethers with family and friends--  always something to look forward to!  It is also time to start my plans for crafty handmade holiday gifts.  What are you making this year?  Here are some of my favorite holiday and winter themed Blue Diamond Stamps for inspiration:

New website and preparing for autumn

Welcome to the launch of the brand new bluediamondstamps.com!  It has been a work in progress for quite some time and I anticipate ongoing changes and new features in the next few months.

It is mid-October and that means that the weather is cooling off and it is starting to rain a bit more here in the Pacific Northwest.  It is also time to focus on autumnal, halloween, and day of the dead themed stamps!  Both cute and creepy.

Here are some of my favorites from the shop:
